Help with brake wiring

    Hi guys, I am new to the motorcycle world but this forum has been pretty helpful so far.
    I bought a 1982 xj550 Seca about 2 weeks ago and I've been trying to order some new parts and such, but one thing I've been trying to figure out is how to get the brake lights to work. From what I can tell the original brake light connector is this weird looking connector, but the connector on the master cylinder I have is a two prong connector.     Oops.
    That is odd.
    That weird connector is the actual brake light switch that pushes into a hole in the master cylinder where the lever is attached.
    I think you have a different master cylinder than standard with a micro switch instead.

    Probably the same principal though N/O (normally open).

    yeh, what " cds1984" says , you my need to cut that (weird connector) off and fit 2 small crimps to the wires to match the microswitch
