Still have my 1982 SECA up for sale. Tons of NOS parts. Maybe consider interesting trade. Tank is perfect, those are reflections.
I have high resolution pictures if you are interested. $3500/Offer

From the 1 picture posted it certainly looks pretty and well done. You will likely get more interest if you post the history of the bike and details like mileage, condition of battery, tires, what and when things have been done to it. Is that a 4 into 1 exhaust? Who made it. Good luck with the sale.

Here are some more pictures. Bike has 36k miles. Ground up restoration, power coated frame, top end rebuilt, 4 into 1 is a Marving exhaust from Italy, new battery, Carbs restored by Oldskoolcarbs in Rock Hill, SC. Tank was restored by Moyer Gas Tank Renu in Greensburg, PA. Tons of parts from xj4ever.com. Ask Len. Spent way too much, but I enjoyed every moment of this restore. Not a museum piece, but a nice bike.

THAT should generate some interest! Nicely done restoration. Neither of mine will ever look that nice. I just don't have the patience to do that sort of detail work. As said earlier, good luck with the sale..... but you will be sorry. Your bank book might not but your motorcycling soul will.

Nice job. What's the funky coily thing on the clutch lever? FWIW it looks good, but over here you rarely see these breaking the £2.5k barrier - yet...
    Maybe in the future?

2.5K British pounds is about $ 3200 USD, so not that far off......and the XJ650 "Seca" style bike was available for 4 years or so over there and in Euroville, whilst it's a one-year-only model over on this continent. And this example is really, really nice. And bikes with a huge round headlight are simply much more beautiful than most others........

My advice, if you can't get your target price currently, would be --- if you can --- to hang onto it until the springtime, you'll get much more then.

@Minimutly I think that is the rubber bellows that protects the pivot and upper end of the cable. At least that is what I see from my distant view point.

No blue/white decals??? Emblems? I recommend you keep watching for a gauge set the doesn’t have faded faces. It’s a nicely freshened up bike but without original parts and things looking “ new”, I don’t see a “ground up restoration”. Am I being picky ? Probably. But for that term, I’d expect to see original exhaust, stripes, emblems, correct grips, original mirrors, correct front signals, etc..... that’s me. It’s YOUR bike done how YOU want it.....I’m sure somebody else will like it enough to take it.
