IMG_1279-compressed.jpeg IMG_1280-compressed.jpeg I wanted to check the timing of the ignition from my xj700x but it is different from the manual.
I miss some parts like the pointer for the timing. The rotor is in another position while putting T on the same place as in the manual. I checked timing with a strobe light and it uses the upper coil, timing is good.
Does anyone know why the ignition is different?

I've never had a 700 but it does appear that your pointer is missing.

The timing is not adjustable (stock form) and I've only ever used the marks when reinstalling the camshafts. If it runs well and rides I'd just ride it.
