    This is a weird one.
I put this particular bike together from parts a few years ago (or more like 8)
One of the forks has started leaking twice and I've put new fork seals in.
This time, number 3, I was cursing it and ran my hand over the clean chrome.
No rust or pitting but to my surprise there was a Jag under my hand.

On closer inspection there is a spot that is indented like something damn hard smacked into it. Bit like hitting it with a really small cold chisel.

So. I filed the rough edges off, gently.
I figure this has been the seal killer, but now I was wondering what I could fill it with.

Pound in some lead or some jbweld with the filings or...

    Weird I know.

Anyone done this sort of thing?

Did you check the tube for straightness?

PXL_20250329_021819694.jpg I did back on the day, sort of, but I see what you mean.
When I strip the fork out, this time, I'll check properly.

I happened to stumble across this video the other day and thought it looked interesting. I've never tried it.
