I have an xj1100j. So my question here is , can a person use the oil feed line position to actually feed an oil cooler? The feed from the rear of the engine that feeds the head. It's a fairly short metal line. My thought is to use a feed line from the engine block to a cooler, then from the cooler to the head. Thus still feeding the head for oil but cooled on the way. I'd have to run lines over the head, but, what day y'all? Would this be feasible?

i dunno about the 1100, but on most XJs the normal oil cooler take off at the front of the engine , behind the oil filter, has a pressure relief device in it, i suppose that may be to reduce pressure in the cooler??
so your take off wouldnt have that, having said that, a cooler should withstand oil pump pressure, maybe about 50psi??

I would think that as well. Thanks for responding.
