I decided that I'm gonna go buy a new battery for my bike, I'm getting sick of my bike not starting, if this doesn't fix the problem oh well, I will start checking on some of the ideas you guys gave me. So I just wanted a little input on some good batteries for our bikes. I want a battery that is gonna last. Do they still sell the battery that was made for our bikes(the one that has the sensor to make the annoying red light go away)? I'm also not looking to spend too much. Also where is a good place to purchase a new batter? Thanks!

    BUY A GEL CELL!!!!!!!

You say you don't want to spend too much--I'm totally with you on that one. I'm very cheap (driving a motorcycle older than I am, for crying out loud), so I went with an old school battery before. Not worth the trouble. A gel cell is sealed, works in any orientation, doesn't ever need water or acid, can't leak. It costs more, but well worth it.

I'm pretty sure there isn't a gel cell available for your bike....

However, Yuasa does list a "High Performance Maintenance Free" battery which is an AGM style sealed unit.
    Part# YTX14AHL-BS

The stock Yuasa Yumicron battery for your bike is Part# SYB14L-A2

Of course those are the Yuasa ones - you can find cross reference charts to pretty much any other battery manufacturer

I bought an AGM for my Honda from ebatteriestogo.com . The price was reasonable and shipping was fast (ordered on Sunday, arrived on Thursday) and free.

They list four compatible batteries for the '82 Seca 750:

When the current battery in my Seca needs replacing, I will definitely be buying a maintenance free AGM. From what I've read, the cheapest AGM is a much better buy than a similar lead acid.

I just bought a maintenance-free for my Seca 750. It's a Yuasa, it was $70.00. You still fill it with the included container of electrolyte, then pound the one-piece caps on. Let it sit 30 minutes, then charge overnight with a one amp charger.
I did the resistor thing to my battery sensor wire, now no more battery light ever!!
