new prob

    well i got it all apart and found that one of the jets were not tite.... so i put screwdriver to it and it did not tighten down.... just spun and spun.... so i tryed to take it out.... and it just spun and spun.... i used some pliers to pull up on it to help catch the threds and get it out to find that there are no threds in the hole... what to do.... can it be fixed or just buy a new carb... thanks mark

    If it worked, JB weld it ( epoxy) ). If not and you need to replace it, all 4 carbs are a bit different.

    Which jet was loose? The main jet doesn't screw into the carb body, it screws into the emulsion tube.

    If your emulsion tube isn't stuck it's possible it dropped down (up) against the bottom of the slide. That would give the appearance of no threads when viewed from the bottom.

    how would i get the emulsion tube down so i can get it to thred.... it is the main jet i think... the 120.... i dont know if there was a tube or not but i will check under a good light 2mro... thanks for all the help.... mark

    You reach in from the back of the carb and hold it down (up) with your finger.

    well i went and checked it... thanks for the info on the tube.... got it fixed.... i found 2 more jets... on the top of the carb there are a 225 and an 80 and on the underside there is a 120 and a 40... how far of from stock are they... thanks mark....
