Carb Clinic in Ohio?

I have a colortune, not really a large enough place to accomidate and "event" though.

 

anyone who has a space??

 

I'm 50 mil East of Columbus. I only have a 2 car garage but I sit on 5 acres, plenty of room in the grass if the weather is good.

 

I like it.

So you wouldn't be opposed to hosting this? I can head out early and help get things set up...perhaps buy some drinks and snacks if we can get a head count.

I'm interested, but am very busy with my wedding coming up in October. If we say perhaps the weekend of Sept 15th, 29th, or Oct. 13th I will probably be able to be there.

I'd love to come, booked the 15th though. I know there are at least 6 or 7 xj'er's on here from columbus. I have a couple friends that would tag along on non-xj's. 5 acres? Mind if we pitch tents and drink beers?

 

Of course we can drink beer and pitch tents, that’s why I moved out here. We can have a bonfire also.
I have some great country roads around here to test ride the bikes after the tuning.
BTW is a carb expert coming? Because that’s not me! I do have a set of vacuum gauges and some basic mechanics tools. The homemade YICS tool I made needs some work, the tubing is not quite the right size. What all do we need?

Thornville is the mailing address, but its about 6 miles away. Do you know of Honda Hills motorcycle park? I'm right there.

 

Yeh, I used to go there when I was a youngin'. I'm up for it, just decide on a date and let's get it rolling.

I work noon to ten on Saturdays though, so if it's a Saturday I'm out. I get off work at five on Sunday, so even that might be cutting it close...

have a ride planned for 22,23 to Parkersburg, WV,(awesome roads) and 29,30 is the rain day
but if we don't need the rain days, it's a go

 

There's a good chance I may just skip a day of work for this (and to ride that bowl!)... once a time/date is set I'll know for sure...

Where is this place.I am close to fdr but haven't stepped on a board in about 3 years.But I do see the jackass crew around west chester a bit.

 

Central Ohio. The same crew (Grindline) that built this place also did the new keyhole at FDR last fall.

 

I just pulled my carbs off if you plan on getting together soon let me. I would deffenantly show up. I've rebuilt sinlgle carbs before this is my first
try at 4 carbs. I live off of 161 and Hamilton near New Albany.

I'm going to try to organize some type of hookup/ride/carb clinic/wrenchathon/XJapalooza this year somewhere around here. Here being central Ohio.

I recently acquired an XJ650 Maxim and am having problems getting the carbs working. I would dearly love to get together with someone to help me with this as no shops want to work on something this old.

Please let me know if/when.

 

It would be a little useful to know where you are located.

Hey, central Ohio people! I just recently purchased my first motorcycle. I recently spray cleaned my carbs and not I need help adjusting my idle so I can take the choke off. Anyone want to offer assistance to a newbie in Columbus? Also, does anyone have an extra choke cable?
