Ok yes i hated my ninja 250 I admit that it scared me. But anyways I saw this bike and decided to test her out and honestly I love this thing. I bought it cheap of the guy and am putting headlight/blinkers/tailight/mirrors on it and keeping it as my bike. I am not stupid I know 75% of you will say that Im going to kill myself but honestly and probably sadly i drive this thing like a grandma and have yet to top 70mph. I know waste of probably 700cc but I like it anyways.

So without further introduction I introduce you to Greta the 2001 CBR929RR.

Fark, Looks like it's built for midnight runs across the border with a tank full of drugs. ;)

It's different thats for sure, but if we all had the same taste then we'd be pretty boring.

Don't let Ian near it. He'll have those apehangers on there in a flash.:)

Personally I think it looks good. Not functional but still good.

Very unique and I'm certain it would stand on it's own two feet, er wheels. Ian would I'm sure compliment it with his profound artistic touch. I'm sure he would keep the theme. Nice brute xj650maxim82, hope it doesn't get away from you (looks like your hands will be full). Hope nobody else decides they want it either, be sure to garage her (not that it is perfect security but it helps).

Ummm.... Sorry, but that is a hideous monstrosity. But then again, I don't like the streetfighter look. Put some low-profile lights on it and fairings and a windshield on the front, paint it flat black to match the rest of the bike, and it might look good (again, in my opinion). But I think that exposed tank looks disghusting. I like the bobtail look, and if some fairings were added to make the tank flow with rest of the bike, it might be a different story.

now that's a streetfighter. looks like a fat kid playing football. Although it could use some hibars....(feck-off H.G. you put them on ONE bike and it forever becomes who you are.) However never been a fan of the sport bike stance(hunched over like an inmate) this one looks like you could have some fun.

I think with a different tank it would look great, but I doubt that's an option, since I believe the 929's were FI, am I right? I like everything except the tank. Reminds me of a turtle.

yep fuel injected. I think after I do some of the stuff im planning to do to it the tank wont look quite so overbearing but yeah it is kind of like a turtle

 @ turtle, if the tank isnt that high then you get a back ache from holding up your upper body! i think it looks comfortable... only problem i see is if cruising under seventy while tired, the gentle hum of the engine might put me to sleep!!! :p personally i like unique...seeing something different or a new twist floats my boat so kudos on a cool buy! why'd the 250 scare ya? my cousins 500 is almost more mellow than my xj...i think i could take him  ... (cousin that is)
