These are the Calipers that are on my bike, however they are not the original brakes, its a dual disc front end off of a midnight max possibly. The axel alos runs through the center of the fork, its not off set.

Can Anybody Identify them I need to order caliper kits.

    Thanks

Does it say EBC on it? Could be aftermarket.

Otherwise, should be a part number somewhere.

The EBC is on the pads, they appear to be stock calipers: just not stock to the rest of my bike. 8O

I've done a bit of searching, looks to me like the whole front end is off a late 70's XS750. The EBC pad number doesn't match up to any XJ, only to the XS's so I'm thinking thats the way to go, unless anybody else has any better ideas??

According to the haynes manual your caliper was fitted to the XJ650(uk) and XJ650 RJ. But if you google pad type FA34 it shows that the same pads were used by a lot of XS bikes but dont know if the caliper would be the same, you never know with yamaha. I just had to change one of my front calipers and the haynes manual shows them as XJ750(front end was changed at some point), i was unable to find any on ebay for my bike. I did a search of all yamaha calipers and found that the 1983-84 RD350LC used the same caliper, bought it and it was a straight fit.

Thanks for the help guys, I've looked at Mikes XS, and the calipers, seal kits and pistons *look* identical to the setup I have, so I bit the Bullet and ordered up a seal kit and piston, 'crosses fingers' hope it fits

Look like the calipers off of a 80 750 XS. Good luck on those.

Just an update, got the parts from MikesXS and they fit like a glove, calipers are back together, bled and working like a charm.

Robert, you seem to have been correct, 80 xs750 (or xs650 also), guess thats where my front end came from 8O

Don't mention it. In reviewing the posts on this thread it would occur to me my identification arrived a bit late anyway. Glad you got the goods you needed and they are working for you. Safe riding to you amigo!
