1982 xj 650 front brake rotor needed

    I need a front brake rotor the what xj models cane i use from. New to all of this. Where can I by a new one or a good use one.

    i have a 81 xj550 rotor thats in great shape but i dont know if this will fit the 650

    Hey Moosmax. I've got a good used rotor off an XJ650, only the 650 Maxim rotors will fit your bike:


    HCP740VGU OEM front left side disc brake ROTOR, very good used condition, no edge cracks, well within specified thickness.
    $ 49.95 plus shipping.

    I also have new rotor bolts and the special double washers, whicj you really should consider replacing whenever a rotor is off the bike.

    You could also(theoretically) go the full shot and replace the front end with the front end from an XJ750 Maxim. This would give you two rotors/brake setups and more stopping power, but you would also need to replace the master cylinder and such.
