Well, I know this topic has been discussed to death in the past, but I've been unable to find some of the info in the forums that I saw last summer. I've had the Dyna coils and wires since last year, but I'm just now getting around to installing them. I wanted to make sure there was nothing wrong with the wires I ordered. They are Dyna DW-600 7mm black silicone suppression core wires. Also, there was a specific how to install thread on here with pictures that I can't find anymore. If anybody has the link, can you post it? Also, does anyone have pictures after the install? I was also wondering exactly how you attached the spark plug wires to the coils.

I might have been lucky, but when of my coils packed up on the 550 I managed to pull the old lead out, tidy the end and reinsert it with a bit of mastic/silicone gasket to seal it. I can't remember if it had a spike to ram into the conductor, I've a feeling that it didn't.

Are your old leads still in the coils ?

Those will work just fine, there should be instructions on the back of the cardboard "header card" on top of the wire package that tells you step-by-step how to make the wires.

Yes Chacal, there are instructions on the back of the card, however, the metal pieces you attach for the coil end just look strange to me. I suppose they're made to just get shoved up into the female ends on the coils though and fit tight.

Greg, the old leads are still in the coils. As a matter of fact, I have yet to remove anything as far as the coils, wires, and plugs go because they were all in working condition. The cap on the number 4 wire has a big piece broke off though, which is why I'm just replacing the coils, wires, and all at once. I don't want to cut out the old coils until I figure out a way to mount the new ones.
