Drive chain question

    I want to order a new drive chain.I've tried looking up the info and asking a seller on ebay.But still puzzled.My chain is a size 530x104 links is all need to order is a 530 chain greater or same as 104 links.Or is there something else in the sizing i need to know. Thanks

    there are several types of chains. there's the generic chain, if you want cheap (junk, IMHO). Also, there are o-ring and x-ring chains. I never had an x-ring so I don't know how they perform, but I did put a Regina o-ring chain on my 550 and so far it's been holding up really good.

    also, look at the sprockets - they wear pretty quick.

    ALWAYS get new sprockets with a new chain - otherwise the old worn sprockets will wear out your new chain on no time (they ARE worn, trust me....)

    Also, most chains will come with more links than you need. You just cut off the extra links and join the chain with the split link.
