chain guide replacement

    So I go out to the shed to dig the old girl out for the first ride of the year and low and behold she wont come out of 1st gear!!
    My question is what do I need in the line of gaskets and oil seal to replace this wonderful little peice of rubber and is there any thing special I should be looking for when Im inside the engine?
    The bike is a1982 750 maxim with about 67000kms.

    pull the clutch in and rock the bike back and forth just to make sure the clutch plates aren't stuck together binding the tranny
