I have a question for the experts. With my YICS tool inserted (home grown) I have a clear pipe vacuum checker about 4 feet of clear hose in a loop with oil in the bottom. To sync carbs on the bike is it kosher to connect each end to a different boot. Looking at the level as I run the bike if 2 is higher than 3 then I have too much vac in 2 and adjust to match 3 - then do 4 in the same way, until at 1500 rpm no matter which port I connect to the oil should be level both sides? Is that legit? Its a bit different than Rick-o-matics fancy one a time method with a vacuum gauge (tried that but the gauge is useless in that it is not detailed enough)

Start by connecting your rig to carbs #3 and #4. Get them synced. Then, proceed to #1 and #2. Then take your pick from both sides, e.g. #1 and #4, and get them equalized with the screw that's between #2 and #3.

And yes, eventually the vacuum should be the same on all four carbs.

    Thanks stereo,

I'm going to try that also. I hooked my rig up to do all 4 at once.
I had a terrible time trying to get all 4 even.
