I'm curious, how does the fuel on the side opposite of the petcock get picked up on a 750 Seca? The 750 honda that I used to have had a fuel line that ran from one side over to the petcock. When the main part of the tank was empty you would switch the petcock to reserve, this would open the line from the opposite side of the tank, so the carbs could drain this side. But the Seca I have now doesn't have the extra fuel line. What does the reserve position on the petcock do? The fuel still comes from the same side of the tank as far as I can tell. How does the fuel from the opposite side of the tank come out?

While I don't know for sure, I'd say the back of the Seca tank is fairly level with both sides of the tank and would allow fuel to slosh over. Failing that, try some low-speed left turns and high-speed rights :)

Ahhh! Never thought of that. I guess I'll put the tank back on the bike tomorrow and check that out. I forgot that the tank doesn't sit exactly horizontal, it leans back towards the seat a little bit.

    Thanks

In answer to the reserve question, most of the gas will transfer at the bottom of the tank. The difference between on and reserve is that on comes from an intake tube a couple of inches higher than reserve. If you switch to reserve and run out again, you might get a little further by stopping, leaning the bike far to the left, and then switching to prime to get the last few ounces into the carbs.
