I am looking for some saddle bags or trunk for my 650. I just need something to keep a few small things in, not a full case of beer or anything. Prefer hard but soft will do if I can lock them someway. I really want a trunk but I am not sure how to mount it. Also might be looking for some kind of rack for the back instead of the trunk. I have a couple handle bars to trade for partial or full trade. One drag type bar and one narrow bar with about a 6" rise. I do not know hot to measure them or I would tell you more.

    Thanks

This stuff is pretty darn rare, dlanthripe. I picked up a Yamaha trunk with faded paint and a broken lock from Cycle Salvage for $40 with no rack!
My solution will be to make some kind of removable bracket that mounts under the rear "fairing" and be reasonably quick release.

I've seen a 650 turbo with the saddlebag system from a Silverwing and the styling blends well with the bike. Welding required.

I bought the saddlebag and trunk system from a 750 Seca and need the black plastic brackets to make it all work. Talk about rare. I will try to improvise for now with hidden welded brackets.

I believe all handlebars are 7/8 inch or 1 inch (Harley)
Wrap a piece of masking tape around your 650 bar, then compare the others.

I've got a set of Krauser hard cases and trunk, but I don't imagine shipping to Oklahoma from here in Canada would be cheap for such a bulky item...

Also have a pretty sweet fairing...

Man, I wish I bought the 750Seca for $350 when I had the chance. It had all luggage and farrings. Still looking though. Anyone know if a " universal " one will work?

    dlanthripe,

I took aan ABS plastic bin I bought at wall mart and mounted that to my luggage rack and took 20mm ammo cans and mounted with U-bolts to the rack frames.

Iff you would like some pics PM me and I'll shoot some for you.

This was very cheap and works well.

    MaxX,
    Just entertain me.

What would you want for all of this stuff before shipping?

    Hmm.

I know this is an old thread, but...........

I've just come across a nice set of Krauser hard bags that are similar to the ones pictured above, and are basically identical to the ones pictured on the 650RJ Seca pictured at:

    http://www.xjbikes.com/coppermine/displ ... pos=0.html

Two bags, mounts, what appears to be all the hardware, and the travel trunk "rack" but no travel "trunk" bag). Really nice condition, black of course, even has an original key. One of the lock mechanisms is a little playful and requires attention. I don't know what they are off of, or what they were designed for (there does not appear to be a model number on any of the pieces) but they came with a 650 Seca bike that we purchased recently, and the owner said they were factory style for such bikes......sorry, don't know enough about these optional factory accessory piece to tell you any more than that.

For sale as a complete system only.

Hey Buffalo, yes, but another member said he'd be sending a check for "the price", so they are "sold" until then. Try me back in a week, they might be on the market again if no payment is received.
