Thanks Hyperion. When I wake up in the morning, I often look in the mirror and see an idiot staring back. It's nice to know that somebody agrees with me! (About bikes, not about me being an idiot!)
Boy, is this machine a lot of fun! The perfect ride for a 62 year old fat guy!

I was on the dark side with a ZX6 for several years, and at 5'9" and 135lbs (back then) it was astounding the power. I do miss the dual breaks though. Heck I miss the speed too, but I am glad I can actually have an impression of how fast I'm going on the 550. Happy riding!

At least it's a Yamaha (but you're still going to hell :D ).

I'd ride it. What is it?

It's a 1985 FZ 750-and it goes like the clappers. Very low, very light, and very fast!

No worries, Ross! It shares its top-end with the MaximX so you're still welcome here!

Bloody Hell! It is so much faster than my XJ900! Corners just vanish! I love it, but I also feel the odd tremor of fear!

Yeah, but that would mean dragging myself into this century, and I'm not sure I'm ready for that. Hell, I still thought it was 1968 right up until 1987.
