hello i just had my xj 650 maxima cleaned up after being in storage for quite some time. when it gets warmed up it will idle if i am not running around on it but if i am running it i have to give it some gas to keep it going. any ideas :?:
i'm kinda new at this but am looking forward to working into doing a streetfighter mod on my bike.
    thanks for any advice :!:

How's the idle speed set? It should idle at 1050RPM.

as far east as you can get in michigan 43.027407,
    clean the carbs...

    install inline fuel filter...

replace old fuse block with new ATC style blade fuses...

seriously, listen to Carl. adjust the idle speed adjustment screw. and probably should tear the carbs down and make them squeaky clean...

the bike was sitting for about two years, i had the carbs cleaned and new filters, oil etc. put in also a new petcock was put in also. i was thinking about replacing the fuse block with a new one but some previous owner of the bike put in an inline fuse addition and i was unsure if i should keep that in or not?
the idle speed is set around 1050 and when it is warmed up it idles fine as long as it is in nuetral lol.
but yah the next project is the fuse block that should be interesting since it will be my first attempt at electrical stuff but i have found lots of info and detailed pictures on this site for doing it so it should go ok.
