750 Seca, I swapped forks and upgraded the bearings. It wants to weave at highway speeds and feels weird and stiff when slow. Did I torque the bolts too tight?

if you are talking about the steering head bearings are you sure they are fully seated, also get the front wheel of the floor and check how freely the steering moves from side to side it should move with the slightest touch. The way i check rightly or wrongly is front wheel off the floor, and from front of bike hold the wheel in the straight ahead position, then give a slight tap, the wheel should go all the way to full lock both ways like that. Trick is to get it like that with no play.

I actually ran into this in my old XS400. I put new seals in the front forks, and when I reinstalled them I must of had one slightly lower than the other. For weeks when I rode it around, it felt just off and stiff when slow, and like it wanted to weave or pull one way on the highway. I loosened the bolts holding the forks, made sure it was all straight, and retightened. never had a problem since! The irritating part is that if you eyballed it, it looked dead on even, but once i loosened it, one side moved about 1/8th of an inch or so, and it worked out great.

Your bearings may actually be too loose. As part of the installation procedure, you should ride a bit, then recheck the bearings...Often times this will fully seat the bearings.
