jet sizes please

    i have a set of 1986? 550 carbs which i want to jet up to run a 1988 600. can anyone please tell me both standard jet sizes ?

    I don't have any info for an 86 550 but the 81 to 83 models used #35 pilot jets and 112.5 main jets. Info on the 600 is for the XJ600RL, it show a #40 pilot jet and a #105 main jet.

    so a straight swap would leave me a tad weak on bottom end and rich top end?

    That is correct. If both carbs are Mikuni then the jets should swap out. I can't find any schematics on the 88 XJ600 so I don't know if the carbs will swap.
