Bike still wont start ,but backfires loud

    Hi there my bike was running and now is not since its taken a fall over . NOw I can hear the sound of flame in the exaust. Back fires really loud from the carbs and the exaust. any ideas?? battery is charged , gas is full this is getting depressing .

    You might want to check your fuel levels in the float bowls. Also check your fuel lines to make sure fuel is flowing through them.

    Also check your air intake, the oil from the crankcase has a bad habit of passing up to the airbox through the crankcase breather and contaminating the filter.

    check/change your spark plugs and change the oil on the bike too. had mine do the same thing after cleaning carbs and this is what took care of it.

    Agree, I had very loud backfires, the new sprak plugs solved the issue...all after a cople months messing with carbs, coils and so :), thinking, it can't be the spark plugs...

    turns out it was the spark plugs ! She Rips and Roars now! I must say I changed them 3 months ago .... why would it eat the plugs so fast after being started only a dozen times?
    Anywho, I'm Glad she is Finally running smooth (er) .
