I made my own risers and used 3/8" bolts to mount them thru the holes in the top tree. They seem to fit perfect.

painterd- could you post some pics?

i just realized that i cant slip the forks down (technically up...?) if i install my drag bars, so i will need to raise the bars.

this thread came at a perfect time!

is there anyone who knows of a perfect top yoke swap from maybe a seca or an '81 maxim which I believe had standard bars ?
that would be the ideal.I found a triple clamp from an '82 seca xj 550 but I doubt the forks would be the same as my 750 .
any takers?any help with fork specs for both bikes?

OOPS! I forgot to add, I have the top tree from an '82 Maxim on my Seca now. It's a very simple swap and you don't even need to remove the forks to do it. The Seca top tree doesn't have holes to mount the risers to.
I'll try to get out and get some photos of the risers and show just how I mounted them today. PD

Also, Ebay always has 7/8" risers at different lengths. You will find the ones that mount to your present risers with a short bar that clamps on or the ones that bolt directly to the upper tree. That's about the cheapest ones I've found. PD
