Well, I just bought a 1982 SECA XJ750 for $650 the other day. Which was in really good condition. All was needed was a battery. My bike has 29xxx miles on it.

I bought the bike for the following reasons:
    1) It was cheap! ;)
    2) I wanted a cruiser so I could customize. To make my "own" style/personal bike!

I look forward getting knowledge n getting 2 know people on this site!

    I'll post pics tomorrow.

Welcome and post some pics. If you got any ?'s there are a lot on knowledgable people here to help ( Me not being one of them! lol), get to know and who would like to get together for rides. It's funny I never knew how much of a following these bikes had till I got here.

That windscreen would make a great snow sled.

Nice bike! I love the stock Seca look. Good price too.

Dude the mods r already started... In my head that is!!! :D
    My plan so far is:

    - Get rid of the gauge cluster, headlight, aux light, n turn signals. Fit it with other "round" type parts... Maxim headlight n gauges maybe!?! or aftermarket stuff!?! I really dont know yet. But it will happen 4 sure!

    - Extend the front of the frame. :p

    - Get rims/wheels that I like rather whats on my bike...

    - Obivous the usual upgrades 2 this bike! Newer fuse box, etc....

    - Custom airbrush flames n skulls paint job. Done by me!

    - N all that goes with my build!!! "Handle bars, forward controls, exhaust, etc...."

But like I said in other post's n all. I have the $$$ 2 do this. But not the experience or know how!!! But I can guarantee that I will make a bike "My own!"

Headlight is easy, but guage cluster takes some work. There be many wires and computer bits in there.
