Just wondering where i should start... I'm building the motor now and will soon be tearing into the carbs. I'll be running stock headers and collector, with jardine pipes and K&N pod filters. I'm at a couple hundred feet above sea level (like 300ish). Any ideas as to what jets i should put in?

The bike is an 82 XJ750 Maxim.

When I put on pod filters and Supertrapp 4-1 I had to increase the pilot jets and main jets one size but LOWER the tapered needle a notch cause it was too rich in the midrange. Every bike is different though so start with stock jets and go from there one size at a time as needed until you get the correct mixture.
