Left Side cover

    I was wondering if anyone knows if the left side cover from a 80 650 Maxim will fit on the 82. I would think so but want to be sure.

    It will! But the holes for the mounting of the emblem will be present in the 1980 and 1981 verions of the covers, while the '82-3 versions had no holes (the emblem was stick-on).

    What about a YAMAHA VIRAGO XV1000 / 1100 gas tank? Would that fit? and is it really hard to clean out a little rust, there looks to be some around the gas cap area. Oh yeah, will I be able to take the cap off my tank and put it on this one if it fits?
