    Hey folks,

I bought my first motorcycle today an 82 XJ 650. I am a United Methodist pastor serving in rural SE MN. This will likely be a summer of adventure. I've been an avid cyclist all of my life-- now ready to learn a whole new sport.

Welcome to the xj world! Lot's to learn here. If you ever need any help there are a lot of knowledgable people to help here just ask. Here is a rundown of some of the things reccomended here. Put an inline fuel filter on your bike, update your fuse panel, put your location in your profile so if you need help and there is someone near you they may be able to help and under your signature enter the year and make of your bike that way people know what kind of bike you have. There are a few of us here that are in your neighborhood. Good luck and drive safe!

    Thanks for the tips!

I am in the process of finishing the regular church year-- then will be looking for the basic rider safety course.

My bike is an 82 XJ650 RJ with about 22k miles on it. The previous owner changed the fuses to miniblades.

I'm just in the process of getting to know the bike on low traffic roads in around my parish. :)
