I am trying to isolate what I think is an erratic misfire on one of my cylinders. In order to check for sure, I am attempting to pull one plug wire at a time and listen for a change in engine sound. As I touch the plug boot to pull it, I can feel little shocks building up. Is this normal? All four cylinders do the same thing.

    Thanks

Not completely normal but can be expected with aged plug wires. I would use a pair of insulated handle pliers.
