I was putting my tools away after moving again, and decided I really like my ratchet and socket set, and one of my ratchety type screwdrivers, and my slim long handled metric wrenches. The rest of my tools I could live without, but I really like those for some weird reason. Emotional attachment to tools is silly, no need to tell me that.

    What are your favorite tools?

I have a 3/8 craftsman indexing head ratchet with an extra long handle. I love it best 20 buck ever spent. I also have a impulse buy stubby ratchet with 3/8 one side and 1/4 other side best 5 bucks I everspent at checkout in napa. Third favorite tool: 12" black pipe, used for breaking all my ratchets!! Damn handy leverage though. yes i have a breaker bar too.

LOL, I broke one of dad's box end wrenches, with a pipe, and he said "you used a snipe didn't you?" I had no idea what that was so I said no!

I started wrenching at a junkyard so naturally my favored tools are the side cutter and hammer. Ratchets and sockets have almost become a necessity in most jobs so I can see why you like them but for me there are few greater feelings than going to town on something that’s been giving me problems with my nice no-mar hammer.

Being a mechanic. I would say I can not live without any of my tools. However, I believe the best thing that has happened in tools has been the wratchet wrenches. Mine are the blackhawk version. Made by stanley and carry a lifetime warranty.

My favorite tools are the ones I don't have to use! I'd much rather ride than wrench.

Out of my collection, I would have to say my Snap-On IM-75 impact. Makes clutch basket nuts, swing arm nuts, and middle drive gear bolts (the peened ones) seem like childs play. Sure beats drilling out peens and trying to hold the motor while you go at it with a cheater bar.

as far east as you can get in michigan 43.027407,
well im an electrican as well but i dont do very much construction. mostly maintenance on some 1500 ton schuler stamping presses and some 6 axis ingersoll mills. for THOSE jobs, a laptop (schuler) and the logic (both types) are usually all i need...

for other uses, my 12" control screwdriver and my T&B stakon crimpers. they have a good cutter on the end and they fit my hand best. of course then i need a good stripper. WIRE stripper that is...

never had much use for the .30-30 so i guess i would pick my .45 Commander...

A hammer, any hammer as long as it's a really big one, if you can't finess it, beat it.

A mouth full of curse words. Some how it really does help.

My Leatherman Tool. I carry it with me everywhere.

For working on the metric bikes (cars have a diff fav list)

    1 - fine tooth 3/8th ratchet
    2 - Socket Allen set
3 - Digital Carb Sync tool
4 - #2 and #3 Phillips Screwdriver with Ergo Grip
5 - Perfect Flat blade for A/F mix screws (it's a blue handled baby!)
6 - Heated Ultrasonic Tank (This one actually should rank higher)
    7 - Cycle Lift
    8 - Impact Screwdriver
9 - 3/8th air impact (just enough to get tight the first time)
10 - Offset box end wrenches
