Carbs again!!

    New to this site hope I can find help!! Rebuilding carbs 82 maxim 750. found no plate (as shown in manual) above pilot jets. Is this going to be a problem??? I do not believe the carbs have ever been opened before. Also now it will run at high speed but will not idle. Any ideas out there??? Anybody in Mpls good with the 750 carbs???

    For some reason Yamaha took out the plate in later models, so don't sweat it. My '83 model Maxim doesn't have them and there is no problem with them out.
