    hi everybody,

Does anyone know of a newbie guide to extracting the carb rack from a xj550 and to subsequently clean them?
    Preferably with pics.

I'm new to bikes and carburetors (diesel guy). But I'm determined to get this bike on the road where it belongs.

    TIA

There are links in our "links" section to sites with carb guides.

I followed stickies I but didn't get to the key info on carb removal for my XJ600 (may be different details). The cleaning links are great.

    - Undo the battery box screw as well as the heat sink plate on the rectifier so that when the airbox screws are undone the airbox can slide ALL the way back and leave space to get the carbs out.
