Icy and/or salty roads. Otherwise, I'm good to go.

Last summer I spent quite a bit of time trying to get my two 650s legal. That's a long story, but at one point the project necessitated driving to the state capitol on the running bike... with no front brakes.

Engine braking, rear brakes, and being paranoid ftw! That trip was <ahem> "exciting" to say the least.

I'm too busy with work, school and my family for fun rides anymore. That and the rising price of fuel kinda puts the brakes on anything but the neccessities.

Due to gas the SECA is daily commuter 9/10 of the time.

The fact that I tore my bike down to the last bolt for a complete rebuild. I'm an idiot. Who does that to a perfectly good bike right before summer ;)

Mechanical issues and bad weather, in that order. I missed a major group ride last summer due to a broken header collar stud.

Steering bearings and front brakes... you can learn all sorts of stuff at those carb clinics. The carbs are now the least of my concern!

Steering bearings are for wimps. Let it click and clack! Front brakes are optional. What do you think that foot pedal on the right is for?! Carbs are WAY more important! They make the bike GO!

(Just kidding on both. Anything that affects handling - or even your *perception* of handling - should be taken reasonably seriously.)

Bad weather. While I don't shy away from riding in rain or snow when i'm caught out in it, If the weather is bad when I'm about to leave home I'll take the car.

Mechanical problems don't stop my from riding. That's why I have two bikes.

The only thing that stops me from riding is: "Whats going in LIFE at that moment!!!"

    This is kinda funny/crazy story...

When I took my riders test. I borrowed my buddies Bike 2004/5 suzuki 800 cruiser. Since my GSXR1200 wouldn't pass there inspection! I had 2 ride like 25/27 miles(oneway) in really bad down pour! Like I couldn't see 10 feet in front of me... I never ridin in rain like this before. I only ridin in "sprinkels"!

Once I got there. I figured they were going 2 "reschedule" my test! But NOPE! I had 2 do everything the test "requires" in some weather A BIKER SHOULDN'T BE RIDING IN...

I PASSED with flying colors!!! :D 8) N ever since I never "FEARED" the weather from stopping me from riding... Since then I've drivin in "downpour rain N snow with as little as a dusting to 2 inches on the roads..."

Do I like riding in those kind of conditions!?! HELL NO!!! But I will if I need 2...

I'M A RUFF RYDER!!! Or atleast "I tell myself that..." :p
