First of all we need to know which Seca. The 550 is chain drive and the others are shaft drive.

Other than the pinch bolt and the nut on the end there is nothing that should hold the axle in. Probably some corrosion on it.

You're going to have to worry it back and forth using PB Blaster or other penetrating oil to get it out.

Before you put it back in coat it with anti-seize compound so this never happens again.

If its chain drive just loosen the main axle nut (22mm)and remove the brake actuator arm and chain adjusters push the wheel all the way forward in the frame and remove the chain just like on a bicycle then pull the wheel off. If it is stuck and won't move forward after removing said components check to see if the axle is rusted to the frame if so use penetrating oil and let it sit for a day soaking as needed then give her a tap on the frame or axle (not too hard you don't want to leave a mark use a plastic mallet or block of wood) till she comes loose. If the axle is not rusted to the frame the axle could be bent or the swing arm could be bent.

it's the 82 650 shaft, the black race thing came loose as well...and the axle is stuck inside that...have tried industrial vice grips holding the race while it try to turn the axle...i may have to try to cut the axle inhalf if this doesn't move. been using a sledge hammer (4lb) and a drift punch in the threaded side hitting to the right......bye the way..the black race thing that sits inside the brake hub thats stuck to the axle?...iy had 4 little set screw divits in it so apparently it's not supposed to move from the brake hub...any clues?

I've got no idea what you mean by "black race thing".

Nothing should really come apart until the axle is most of the way out.

Did you get the axle back far enough to get the brake plate and shoes off?

HERE is the parts diagram. What piece are you referring to?

I looked in my book and couldn't find anything resembling your discription other than the oil seal on the front wheel and since you are dealing with the rear wheel that isn't the issue.
You might want to plan to replace the axle and the wheel bearings while you have it apart. The axle is probably not going to be serviceable after using a 4lb hammer on it. Suggest you check how much brake shoe you have left as well. Am curious as to what you find.

Sorry about the loose lingo...just tired here...it's number 2 in the parts diagram..i think it's a spacer...it's actually attached to my axle and won't come off. had to actually cut the axle off at the edge of the spacer and pull the wheel that way. mine doesn't look nearly as long as the #2 in the photo but that's what it is. it butts up against the bearing on the wheel side and against the the rear suspension arm on the other side. guess i need some bearings, an axle and a spacer.. :(

    Check EBay or chachal's parts.
