Picked up my Seca on Friday.
Had some neighbors over yesterday, including my soon to be neighbor who's building across the st. Showed him the bike and he told me he has an 86 Fazer 700 that he would have sold me cheap. 10k mi, mint condition

So buy the FZR too. Eventually you're going to have two bikes anyhow.

Thats so true haha. I just sold one of my bikes, I'm down to 3. Soon to be 2, swapped one for an Alfa 4 into 1 exhaust for XJ 750.

Get a Maxim-X. Same or similar engine, from what I understand.

    Buy the Fazer... Doooo EEEET!

I LOVE those bikes. I can't say I'd get rid of my X for one, but they sure would look nice in the garage together. Maybe if I left them in there alone for a while they'd make me a little FZ400...

He's not in a rush to sell, so it might still be a possibility when the budget is willing.

I'll have to paint the Seca the same first though

"no Honey, that's the same motorcycle..."

Schmuck is correct - the Maxim-X is a Maxim frame with the FZ 700 engine

So, if you prefer the Fazer, buy it and sell the Seca. With careful selling you should be able to get as much as you paid out of the Seca, maybe more if you market it right, and get the bike you'd like better ...

    Good news I guess.

My older brother bought the Fazer, which means at some point down the road, it could still end up being mine.
Paid $900, probably another $400 to get it on the road. Last state inspection and real riding was '95
