More handlebars...ya ya I know

I have a 650 maxim, to go to a lower(650 Seca style)
Is there a bar that will fit that I won't have to get new cables ect ect?
Not the most mechanically inclined person...... :roll:

 

Generally speaking, as long as they are the proper diameter and fit in the bracket you should be okay, so long as the bar is not rediculously higher or wider than your stock bar. I think I've got short maxim-x bars on my XJ650. It leaves a bit of cable leftover, but I just strapped it down so it didn't flap. What you'd have to worry about would be with huge beach-comber bars or monkey bars. They are so long/wide, the cables would not be able to reach the controls. For a good deal of stock Japanese bike bars, you shouldn't have a problem as far as cables go. Only thing is with bars with a radically smaller rise/pullback, you should strap down the access cable length to keep it from flapping.

Thanks Marco....I'll see what I can get a hold of....its just the stock bars
make me sit a little to straight up and I would like a little more bend in my back......then I can throw on the cafe fairing I've been eyeing up :wink:
