As I said i'm still dialing in the carbs bit by bit. next on the list is tires, and I'm pretty sure I need to adjust my clutch cable, as it grinds a bit going into second, nearly every time (except under extremely light acceleration). My insurance guy is drew up papers for me today and will be bringing them by for me to sign at work tomorrow, after which I'm heading to the dmv to register, and plater her, and get my permit! lol

I would love to be out riding her right now, but I honestly dont want to push my luck and get caught riding. I spent a couple hours on her over the last couple days, and am loving it, so I have been scratching my itch to ride as best as possibly trying to dial in the carbs, and putting a few finishing touches on the bike. Like the gas cap! lol

Thanks all, I can't wait till next week when I've got all the papers squared away and can spend every possible minute riding :D

It is a good feeling to get it working right.
I pulled thet tank off today and thought about the first time I had pulled it off.
It took me forever and getting it back on took even longer.
Today it was off adjustments made and back on in a shorter period of time then that.

I thought, how strange the amount of pride I felt over such a simple thing.
Been a long time since I felt that way.
    :D

To be honest, I almost fell over when I saw the bike the first time. I had essentially agreed to buy it sight-unseen, expecting a pretty major resto project ahead of me. When we pulled up and I saw a CHERRY bike sitting in the garage, it took all of my willpower to not dance a jig and throw fistfuls of cash at the guy, lol.

Not for money... but to protect that bike. I'd totally fight you for it ;)
