    Hello all,

Does the vaccum have to come off of #3 carb. I had some hardware problems and would like to use #2 instead.

That will work fine (any of them will) as long as the other three are blocked off.

Personally, I would use some of that brown manila folder. It is a bit thicker and should stand up just fine. I worked on helicopters in the Marine Corps and we would use manila folders every once in a while to make our own gaskets when supply couldn't keep up with us. Only thing is, the places we were using it was to prevent dissimilar metal contact, not really as a sealing surface. But it should still hold up on our engines.

My old fella used family photos and anything else that was left after the bombing on his old BSA. My school swimming certificates were very good apparently.
