New Paint Job

    I finally finished the tank about about a month ago, both lower corners had weld repairs due to rust and then the POR treatment carried out. I fixed all the broken plastic and sent it off to the painter.

    Just got it back this week and I think it looks pretty good.

    That bike looks real good, is that a stock yamaha color?Im gonna repaint my maxim as soon as i get some more cash.

    Hi guys.

    Thanks for all the compliments, the colour is Metallic Gun-metal. It isn't a Yamaha colour but is very close to one. My XZ550 was black but I have an original Yamaha XZ550 brochure that features one in a colour very close to this and I always liked it.

    A friends father owned a Ford Dealership and he says that Ford had a colour very close to this as well.
