Lowering my bike!?!

I was just wondering if there is a way to lower the front and rear of my bike its an 82 xj750, I was thinking mabye i could use seca front forks and rear struts but i have no idea really, Any sugestions would be apprecated, I have put alot of though into it but i cant really come up with anything. -Thanks

10.5" sportster shorty rear shocks work well for Maxims and you still get a nice ride...unlike struts.

 

If your fork springs are strong enough,you can slide the fork tubes up in the triple clamps to lower the front end. Although your bike has air assist forks,air pressure is no cure for sacked-out springs.

 

Danno's got a pretty good suggestion there, that is probably your best bet for the front but if you do go this route it is very important to make sure the forks are even. :wink:

Nice bike! I've got two XJ1100s. I've got a question for you, though. Do your highway pegs flip up when not in use? You got a link or something for where I can find a set just like that? Same with your engine guard.

 

Yes they do flip up and i love them lol i use them all the time, problem being I dont know where they are from they ahere on the bike when i got it,

www.crc2onlinecatalog.com has flip up highway pegs. You'd just have to fab up that bracket. $15-$29 for a set depending on the style is what I found.
