    Either the UNI or the K&N pods should be okay, the foam-covered UNI's would be my first choice, as they flow a little less air than the K&N pods, and therefore may lessen the amount of tuning (and associated problems) that you'll encounter).

    I cut the air box out of my XJ750 1981 and fitted pods worked fine for me i just had to change my idle and it worked perfect didnt need to rejet my carbys to.
