OK, so my helmet is not smelling as springtime fresh as it once was.

Any suggestions to restore that "new helmet" smell?

You can't really hang one of those green trees in it....

    Tubabone,
I cannot make any suggestions as to how to get the interior of your helmet clean once it has been soiled but I can suggest how to avoid getting it inundated to begin with. I wear a skull cap every time I put my helmet on and when it smells doggy, I just chuck it into the washer. My helmet is still clean as a whistle inside 4 years on. You can purchase them through most well stocked supply houses.

I've used Febreze, it gets the stench out.

If you have a helmet with a removable liner, you can wash the liner.

Or you can just live with the smel and if anyone gives you crap about it, tell them it's "man-stench."

wash it out, theres nothing in there that water will hurt
back in my dirt riding days,we used to use a teaspoon of bleach 5 drops of dish soap in a bucket of water pour it in work around, rinse a few times with a garden hose and hang it in the sun, good as new
