Has anyone updated an 82' Maxim 750 to a set of regular handlebars? I really don't like the split bar thing, and it limits my ability to mount accessories. I want the ability to mount a cell phone carrier, GPS, and garage door opener. All of which will be easier with a set of regular bars. I am wondering if anyone knows what hardware I need to get to make it work. Any specifics and/or pictures of completed mods would be very appreciated.

If you'd like to donate those split bars to me, I'd give em a good home

seriously tho, I guess you'd have to change out the bar clamps from a regular bar type bike, probably already have the holes for them in the triple tree

Yeah, I'm expecting as much... What I'm hoping for is someone that has already done this, and knows what other bike has clamps that are going to be the right size... i.e. bolt length, diameter, etc...
