Do you have a decent airbox lid for a 1981 XJ650 Maxim? I have a good airbox on it, but the lid is missing. Got a filter, too?

I thought I saw an alternate gauge cluster somewhere in the forums for the Maxims that is round instead of square but I can not find it. Anyone have any ideas or any links to where I could find such items. I would like to get a Speedo that goes to 120 and have the gauge cluster rounded instead of the standard box style.

THANKS Len! I sent my order and Paypal LATE Monday night and in today's mail there are my parts!

The color tune and mixture adjustment tool work great. Less than an hour and I have all 4 carbs color tuned. Going to take a test ride now.

I would recommend you to anyone and will be ordering again.

I have a 82 xj750j maxim, at 55 mph the rpms are really high. Is this a normal gear ratio or can I change it?

 

Depends on what you consider really high. If you want more answers you would get more attention creating your own thread or looking for a simmilar subject.

On this side of the thread I need to replace my right front turn signal assembly and lens. Any ideas on the part numbers and cost Chacal?

b) these turn signals are the same design and style as the stock signal units, which were originally a 2-wire (flashers only) design. The 3-wire design of these signals allows them to be used as running lights as well as perform their flasher function. Models not originally using their turn signals as flasher lights can be converted by tapping into the rear brake system running light circuit (usually a blue wire) and running that wire to the running light wire lead on these turn signals. Check your local laws for the legality of using running lights on vehicles not originally equipped with them.


The above units do not come with the rubber mounting bushing, which would need to be ordered separate if needed:

nah my email has been a bit screwy def didn't recieve it.....migh have to add alot of stuff to it well not that much stuff just colortune so i can dial this monster in.....ive been having problems with my crankcase vent too so it may be a week or so before i can order...i have to engineer some stuff first
