Hey, I've had this site bookmarked forver, but just now registered.
Yeah, I closed the forum some time ago, lack of interest then, and since then the shop has closed its doors, so, I'm prowlin' the net again...lol.

Glad ya took an interest in the Yamachop....she's a lil further along and she's coming home in a few weeks from the shop so I can finish her off, but in case ya missed the last updates....here's a few pics.

Of course I still have to remount the tank, re-run the wiring, mount the headlight and seat and a few other lil things, but she's almost there.
WCC front fender is mounted now, seat mounting plate is done and new controls are made as well.
Anyways, I'll get more shots when she's home...stay tuned

like the rear fender, where did it come from? my plastic one is not really going to cut it, i discovered. need a piece between the seat and the tire that can withstand my weight on it, as my seatpan has a bit of flex to it. Also the idea of the open drive shaft intrigues me. If one wanted to it would be fun to make it into some sort of interesting shape like a little sawblade or something. Then the shape you can see spinning as the bike moves.

Boat trailer, came across about twenty at a local boat dealership, they just happened to be laying in the big green outdoor shopping cart 8)

You do mean the spacer right? I tossed the idea around about making it visually appealing, but function over appearance always wins with me. I've also had mixed comments about having the joint exposed to the elements, but I look at it as if it were a cars driveshaft ujoint.....doesn't hurt the car as long as its greased right?...lol

I talked to a shop here about exhaust options, and I'm going to grab a set of aftermarket mufflers for it, and then once I have those, I can determine the battery set up, still not sure just how I want it.

But hey, I'm glad its opened some eyes, these bikes have all kinds of potential.....and I'm trying to make this one completely mine.

Thanks for all the kind words guys,
    Jamie
