Hit 70 here again today.1/20/07. Just wondering if there are any fellow riders in the Florida area?

 

I'm a Florida XJ rider in Ocala. Where are you located?

 

As north east as it gets. I roll rubber in Jacksonville. Not shure how far that is from you though.

 

I'm about 68 miles west of Daytona, I'm planning to go to bike week when it's here again. Had a good time during Biketoberfest looking forward to doing it again!!

 

20 miles NW of Tampa here.
Will be at bike week as well.

Just received our Electric bill and:
over last 32 days ending Jan 22nd,
Average High Temp: 76°
Average Low Temp: 62°

Great bike weather!

 

I am not sure I will be able to make it this year. At least I now know I am not alone.

 

Anyone still active in Florida? I'm in the S.W. Florida area in Sarasota County.

 

I'm about 15 miles west of Disney, and I'm going to Bike Week this Sat. and Sun. riding the 750 thru the sea of leather and chrome that is Mainstreet.

 

Well, couldn't get away from work for bikeweek again. Lucky me gets my vacation from the 17-23 this year. anyone interested in riding, just let me know.

 

daytona native here, no other maxims in my stomping grounds, that I've seen, none like mine anyway! Hahaha

Glad to find several CFL XJers. Just moved back to the area about a month ago and the old XJ has been my primary source of transport. Can't wait for rainy season!

I'm in Clermont area...Anyone a skilled wrench for a few pointers?

just bought my bike a month ago so i'm a new addict

 

in a couple weeks sanford drag strip ( out there off of 44 i think ) my bro has been talkin all abouts his harley hes put soo much money into ( like a 1300 stroker ) round town i stomp him bad, off the line anyway, but he thinks in a quartermile he will stompy me we, which i dont really believe because my engine winds out tighter) we will be finding out hahahaha.....well....as soon as my coils come and i dial in with a colortune to get a sick burn....as of right now we are pretty evenly matched but i think that dialing in my burn will give me the edge to take his money hahahaha!

Hey all!

I'm looking for a 700 Maxim X. My first street bike and I should never have sold it!

 

Anybody in Central Florida want to hook-up in Clermont for a country ride to Sugar Loaf Mountain, Montverde and Mount Dora- - it's not "The Dragon" but it's the best we got.

I also have a Colortune, homemade carb sticks, and plenty of tools to do a quick tune-up. Meeting at the drag strip sounds fun too.

 

dude.....i totally need to dial in with a colortune...though i am awaiting my new coils.....lame........if you make it out to the daytona area that would be swell hahahaha.....maybe i should buy a colortune and carbsync.........haha well one day ( probably shortly after the coils arrive. )

Melbourne here. Bought a 92 XJ600 to restore in May. Just got licensed but I'm still working on getting the carbs back on the bike. Main jet screw keeps breaking. Just ordered my third screw. Third times a charm right?

I don't trust my Seca enough yet to get that far from home with it. Thirty to forty miles okay; 200 is just a bit too far yet.

 

There is a large poker run on April 18 in Polk County. According to the sponsors, they are planning on it being part of a Guiness World Record.

The poker run is being held simultaneously in 12 states and they estimate a total of 4,000 riders altogether. Here in Polk County, they are estimating 700-1000 riders participating.

Hey ctcube. I just recently moved to St Augy myself. I have seen one other xj here as well. It is an orange 700. I ride a red one. Sound familliar. Might have to hook up sometime and hit a1a or something.

 

I ride a currently orange 650 seca. I saw the orange 700 maxim at McD's. Haven't seen your red one. What part of town are you in.

 

I am over here behind the jail. Around avenue D. The guy on the orange one I have met. Didn't seem to care what he was riding. He told me he bought it for 60 bucks and just tinkered with it till he got it running.Didn't know what model it was just knew it was a 700 maxim.
I have a windshield on mine. If you ever see me, just wave me down.
