    LOL,

I have done the pegs, pedals, the read fender, the gas tank, a bunch of screws, the fuel sensor gauge, and a ton of misc pieces - they all come out great with a little bit of work.. I use the electrolysis, then soak in clr(with a rinse off and a good brushing each time), then soak in rubbing alcohol and let dry.. If it had rubber or plastic, I rub down with armor all... come out great!

Would be 'very' interested to see the tool you built if you can get some pictures up, mebbe even a detailed how-to? ;-)

You'd be better-off tackling those Mirrors with some strong Chrome Polish and a health amount of Elbow Grease.

If their pitted, ... Aftermarket Mirrors are 17-Bucks and Up.

If you get Aftermarket Mirrors you need a "Reverse Thread Adaptor" for the Right Hand Mirror unless the package says: "For Yamaha"

One more vote for Solvol Autosol. Unlike Fitz though, I'm happy to use it all the time to maintain the shine.

It works on alloy, chrome and even painted/coated surfaces. Be careful though, as it is an abrasive polish. You can always use it on a wet cloth to lessen the abrasiveness. Just buff up when dry.
