I'm rebuilding my carbs as suggested in Rick's excellent how to. My problem is that I believe(d) that the PO had the air jets places backwards from what they should be. That being the case, I didn't mark the holes as Rick suggests.

I've found two exploded diagrams that suggest proper placement. Rick refered to the Haynes manual showing them backwards. Is he refering to the picture (marked 7.9b A: Main air jet B:pilot air jet) on page 123? Should the pic marked "A" be the pilot jet instead?

The PILOT air jet is the larger jet, and goes toward the front of the carb (directly above the pilot fuel jet in the bottom of the carb). This would be the foreward-most hole under the diaphram.

The MAIN air jet is the smaller jet, and goes toward the center of the carb (directly above the main fuel jet in the bottom of the carb). This would be the center hole.

The rear hole (towards the airbox) is for the cover plate hold-down screw.

I just bought a rebuild kit for my carbs. The kits had the needle and seat, the float bowl gasket, the plugs to cover up the adjustment screws and two rubber O-rings. I found where the smaller O-Ring goes under the adjustment screws. Any ideas of where the tiny bit larger ones go?

The float bowl drain screw uses an o-ring............
