When will there be a carb clinic near London, Ontario

    Well - there's no planned carb clinic here - closest I think would probably in Toronto in the fall -- one of the members on the XJ email list has a clinic.

    However, if you're in London & area and need a hand or have questions - feel free to give me a shout - I'd be glad to help with whatever I can.

    I'm out by Woodstock, but work in St.Thomas... I am no whiz, but I can assist occasionally as well. It would be nice to at least share the pain (or is that joy?) of working on these blessed little wonders of locomotion...

    I figure you would need the tools, have cleaned the carb a few times and the space for people to work.

    What Shawns said is pretty much it -- just need someplace for a bunch of us to congregate and work. Tools are always a plus - I tend to bring mine just to help out. Covered workspaces are a plus - fans for the running engines are a must.

    I've got a big backyard and half-decent sized driveway, but no real workspace - my garage is small and cramped. Anyone else offering?

    I've got a two car garage and a big tool box. I've cleaned my carbs plenty of times (too many to admit) and rebuilt a few xj engines.

    Kind of late in the year for a clinic but maybe next summer.

    Start small, and don't give up. I had no tools, and no experience for my first carb clinic. Other guys came and brought their tools. I've studied and made a point to learn as much as I can on these bikes.

    Now, the 10th Anniversary CNYCC(#10) is less than two years away!

    The more I read the more I'm steering towards not wanting a carb clinic.
    I'm more interested in having everything apart and filthy then putting it back together clean and fresh. Money is the only thing holding me back, but hopefully not for long since I'll be getting a large pay increase with my next posting!
