Rick- you stated in another thread that the Yamaha Factory Faring on an '83 XJ 1100 was wobbly at 117 mph- I have no intention of going 117mph on my daily commute, but might this be true also for the factory fairing on an '82 XJ750? Same one, possibly? I've noticed that mine is less stable than I might have guessed, and I've yet to have past 40mph.

If this is true, did you figure out any modifications that might make it more stable? I see great value in having the faring (less tiring on a 40 mile coommute, warmer on cold mornings, no bugs splatterred on the chest before client meetings) but don't want handling issues either.

Thanks- I like her. My wife is getting jealous...

I've wanted a motorcycle since I was 4, when my dad gave me evening rides on his little Honda (80cc?). I can't wait to get out on the road as a regular thing.
