I'm pretty sure the correct size you're looking for is a 130/90-16. Due to the shaft drive in the swingarm, nothing bigger will fit without major modifications.

Wheel removal is pretty easy - remove the brace arm, loosen the pinch bolts, then remove the axle. You can then wiggle the wheel/brake drum assbembly off the shaft splines.

Right you are Altus it is 130/90/16 and I will give it a go on removing the rear tire. Whats the worst that can happen? No don't tell me. Also while I'm in there I will look at those shoes. Thanks for your reply!

Dont forget to pay attention to the spacers/spacer location.
Also lube the parts that need to be lubed, and clean the parts that dont

Also pay attention to tire rotation direction! The tire is marked as to what direction it should rotate.

Just did my rear tire. Dennis kirk delivered the rear tire (same size as yours) for $78. I put it on myself and saved myself a lot. The dealers have a big markup on tires at least around here. I second the motion for checking your spacing and direction. Easy thing to overlook till you got it on already.

thats what I lubed A.F. also the bearings at least on mine weren't the repackable ones they have covers on them.

a dab on splines and clean then thin coat on the axle. If you have a manual check the wear limit spec on your shoes the wear limit on mine are 2mm yours are probably similar. Oh and torque everything to spec or at least the axle for your own safety.

This should be done by the guy that mounts the tire right? I would mount it except I have no way to balance it.

Balancing?.....We dont need no stinking balancing.....

    hehehe

I wouldnt worry about it unless you feel a wobble after runnning down the highway. I'd save that $30.

LOL... well, granted... i AINT no veteran biker, but i put one on yesterday myself and it rides great. The way i see it, these backwoods roads i ride on everyday, i dont know what a good balance would help.

Someone show me the error of my ways!
